Rising Starr Kids Club - Located at the JW Marriott Starr Pass, the Rising Starr Kids Club is a full-service children's recreation program offered daily for our guests, ages 4 to 12*. Sonoron Desert Museum - The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden, all in one place! Exhibits re-create the natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert Region so realistically you find yourself eye-to-eye with mountain lions, prairie dogs, Gila monsters, and more. Within the Museum grounds, you will see more than 300 animal species and 1,200 kinds of plants. Old Tucson Studios/Horseback Rides - Old Tucson Studios, an active film set whose credits include some of Hollywood's biggest Westerns, features film and television shoots throughout the year and a full array of daily live entertainment and attractions including high-flying stunt shows, blazing gunfights and rip-roaring saloon musicals. Pima Air & Space Museum - The Pima Air & Space Museum is the largest Air & Space Museum in the Western United States.   The Pima Air & Space Museum is situated on 200 acres of the Sonoran Desert, with approximately 50 acres devoted to public display of aircraft and other artifacts. There are 5 aircraft hangars which are cooled in the summer, but not heated in the winter. There are two paid tours which visitors can take, both of which take a little over an hour. The Tram tour is an open air docent narrated tour of the outside aircraft at the museum. The AMRG tour is a climate controlled coach docent narrated tour of the Aerospace Maintenance Regeneration Group at the U.S. Davis-Monthan A.F.B.   http://www.pimaair.org/

 

Kartchner Caverns (need advance tickets) - Quietly nestled beneath the Sonoran Desert, it took nature millions of years to sculpt these majestic cave formations. Accidentally discovered in 1974 and recently opened to the public in1999, Kartchner Caverns is rated one of the World's Top 10 Caves by experts for its vast and incredibly unique mineral formations. Tucson's Children's Museum - The Tucson Children's Museum offers a fun, educational place for families to learn and play together. We have eleven galleries of hands-on exhibits that children will enjoy visiting over and over again, and a constantly changing line-up of special art and science activities held every day.
